GST/HST payments

The forms you must complete online correspond to the hard copy of your GST forms. GST34 is used to file or file and remit a GST payment, while GST58 is used to remit a payment.

Making Future-Dated Payments

As with other bill payments in online banking, you can set up future-dated CRA payments. If you cancel a future-dated GST 34 payment, the filing information will still be sent to CRA even though the payment itself will be cancelled. If a non-GST 34 payment is cancelled, no information will be sent to the CRA.

If there are insufficient funds in the source account when the future-dated payment is to be made, no payment will be made. If the payment was a GST 34 payment, the filing information will still be sent to the CRA.

What to do if you run into problems

All payments made provide a tracking number (the same as our other online bill payments). If your payment was for an amount of $1000 or less you will need to contact the CRA directly to trace the payment. If the payment amount was for an amount greater than $1000, please contact your branch and they can submit a trace request on your behalf.

If for some reason the bill payment system is unavailable at the time of the payment, the payment will not be allowed and you may enter the information at a later date.

If the payment is successful, but the CRA system unavailable, the payment will be made, but the status of the filing or remittance will be unknown. You will be notified to contact your branch. If the message was not sent to the CRA, the funds will be returned to your account within 2-4 business days.
