Our world is increasingly digital and mobile – smartphones, tablets, computers, and wearable devices are seemingly everywhere and helping to integrate technology into everything we do. Not only that, but these devices are changing our expectations for what technology can do – and that includes at the checkout. Whether online or in stores, digital payment options are in high demand and more readily available, adding greater convenience to our daily lives.
If you hold a Mastercard® credit card through BlueShore Financial and use an Android device, you can now use that device as a digital wallet. Google Pay and Samsung Pay are available to BlueShore clients who use a Collabria credit card.
What is Google Pay?
Google Pay offers an easy, secure, and convenient way to pay on Android devices. Collabria credit cards can be used with Google Pay to pay on-the-go at merchants who accept contactless payments, in participating apps and on the web.
Google Pay will also provide real-time notifications and details for your purchases when you use Google Pay on your Android device.
All Collabria credit cards are available for use with Google Pay, and you can use it to make payments:
- In stores with supported devices wherever contactless payments are accepted, within apps and on the web in Safari
- In participating merchant apps
- On the web with supported devices
What is Samsung Pay?
Likewise, Samsung Pay offers the convenience and security of contactless payments by simply hovering your phone or wearable device over a merchant's card reader, letting you complete a purchase without a card, cash, or even a physical wallet.
To use Samsung Pay in-store, you must have a compatible Samsung device and Samsung account. All Collabria credit cards can be loaded into the Samsung Pay Wallet by downloading the app from the Apps menu. Samsung Pay uses several layers of security and does not store or share cardholder information.
Using your Android as a digital wallet
To get started, search your app store for either Google Pay or Samsung Pay. Then add your credit card details directly in to the app. Open the app, select “Get started” and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once you’re set up and ready to make purchases, look for the Google Pay, Samsung Pay, or contactless payment symbols at checkout.
