Long-term partners, long-term impact.
At BlueShore Financial we're committed to being a part of the communities we serve and making a contribution to the wellness of clients in numerous ways, not just financial.
The following organizations are groups with which we have partnered over the long-term and share a common goal to enrich the community through a variety of means.
BC Children's Hospital Foundation
BC Children's Hospital is the province's the province's only pediatric acute care hospital, providing expert care for over 72,000 of the province's most seriously ill or injured kids each year. The Hospital provides services in areas such as neonatal intensive care, kidney and bone marrow transplants, open-heart surgery, neurosurgery and cancer treatment. It is a leading provider of diagnostic and laboratory services, and many complex tests, including universal newborn testing for potentially devastating diseases. For the past 20 years, BlueShore Financial has been a passionate supporter of BC Children's Hospital. BlueShore Financial's support includes many staff and member fundraising initiatives to help ensure all BC children have access to a consistent standard of pediatric care.
Audain Art Museum
BlueShore Financial has partnered with the innovative Audain Art Museum in Whistler to support a series of educational programs for kids and their families. Activities, games and art projects are designed to bring works of art to life, encouraging new ways of looking at and thinking of the world around us.
Many of BlueShore Financial’s most highly valued employees are graduates of Capilano University. BlueShore Financial has worked with CapU for many years to support its business program and to encourage graduates to consider BlueShore Financial as a place to begin or further their career. The relationship reached a new level in 2011, when BlueShore Financial made a million dollar donation to the university and received naming rights to its theatre, which is now called the BlueShore Financial Centre for the Performing Arts.
Coho Society of the North Shore
The Coho Society is a volunteer, environmentally based organization committed to protecting and revitalizing North Shore salmon streams and rivers. The Society's planning and organizing for the year culminates with the annual Coho Festival, located at Ambleside Park in West Vancouver. A signature event of the Festival is the Coho Run, of which BlueShore Financial is presenting sponsor. Considered one of the most scenic routes in the Lower Mainland, the 14K run starts at Kits Beach, goes through Stanley Park, and finishes in Ambleside at the Festival. All net proceeds of the run support salmon enhancement projects including stream stewardship.
Family Services of the North Shore Christmas Bureau
For more than half a century, Family Services of the North Shore has been dedicated to enriching and strengthening family life for the benefit of the communities of the North Shore. BlueShore Financial is a key sponsor of the FSNS signature gala fundraising event, the Winter Family Ball. For over 25 years, this annual affair raises funds to support the programs and services offered by the agency. In its 25+ year history, it has raised over $2.5 million. In addition to sponsoring this special event, BlueShore Financial employees are committed supporters of the Christmas Bureau, providing dozens of baskets for needy families each year.
