On Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 Dress For Success Vancouver (DFSV) hosts their 19th Annual Fundraiser, Impact 360: Celebrating the Journey. Join us as we celebrate our 20 Year Anniversary for an evening filled with spirit tastings, designer cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live music. Watch our Client Ambassadors walk the “Runway of Success” and be inspired by a client’s story. This signature event welcomes over 300 of Vancouver’s most influential business leaders, sponsors and community supporters. Join us for a fabulous evening of giving and meet the women who inspire others with their stories and success.

The Roundhouse Exhibition – A Preview Gala and Sale

Join us at the Roundhouse Community Centre to see some of the works from 70 amazingly diverse local artists, including a showcase from the students of Lord Byng Art School. Event hours from 10am - 9pm. Free artists workshops will be happening throughout the day. Come learn and see how some of the magic is done. That evening you’ll have a chance to get to know the artists, as they will be in attendance during our free gala reception from 7pm - 9pm. Take advantage during the event to map out your weekend walk where you’ll see more of their artwork in their studios or larger Hub sites the weekend of May 11 & 12, 2019.

BlueShore Financial Mother’s Day Run, Presented by the Westin Bayshore

The BlueShore Financial Mother's Day Run consists of a 3k, 5k and 10k Run and Walk starting in beautiful Stanley Park and finishing in Coal Harbour at The Westin Bayshore.

All participants will receive an amazing souvenir technical running shirt and an incredible gift bag filled with goodies. Moms will also receive a beautiful commemorative scarf. If that wasn't enough, the event includes a Finish Line Festival, kid's activities, champagne giveaways and options for a decadent Mother's Day Brunch at the Westin Bayshore (for an additional fee).

Dads and children are encouraged to run, too! The event is for everyone whether you are an experienced runner or just want to join in for a walk. The official Charity of the Run is the Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon.

Oasis Shaughnessy 8k Run

An event part of the Lifestages Lower Mainland Road Race Series, this event provides a scenic course featuring an 8K run and a 5K Poker Walk (where participants pick up playing cards and prizes are awarded to the top hands) through the undulating, historic, residential streets of Shaughnessy and Kerrisdale.

The run organizers promise an event that is world class and pristine - one that matches Whistlers natural surroundings. Cheakamus River Fest: 2nd Annual Walk on the Wild Side

An exclusive dining experience hosted by the Cheakamus Foundation in support of environmental education for youth.

Join us for a multi-course paired menu featuring local, seasonal fare. The evening begins in an authentic longhouse with culinary delights inspired by Coast Salish traditions. We then move to the farm and gardens for more tasting, and finish off on the banks of the Ch’iyákmesh River for a long-table feast.

This event takes place outdoors and involves some walking on grass, dirt pathways and uneven ground. The event will take place rain or shine. In the event of rain, indoor and covered locations will be available.

Longest Day Road Race

The Longest Day Road Race is a scenic 5k loop on the UBC Campus. Both 5k and 10k races start at Thunderbird Stadium at the intersection of Stadium Rd and Main Mall on the UBC Campus. 5k runners complete one lap, 10K runners complete 2 laps. In addition, a Kid’s Mile race will begin at 6:30pm for participants under 15 years old.

This is the twelfth consecutive year BlueShore Financial has supported the race to align our brand sponsorship with our values of physical, community and financial well being.

Bard on the Beach: All’s Well That Ends Well Opening Night

This new, bold staging of All’s Well That Ends Well is set in India during the waning days of British occupation and the cusp of Indian independence. Helena, a privileged young Indian woman, secretly loves Bertram, an officer in the British Army. Cultural, social and political barriers stand between them – but Helena doesn’t give up, and her journey takes her into the heart of her own culture and identity. Evocative music and dance will transport you to India, as this tumultuous love story unfolds against a backdrop of dramatic societal change.

Co-created and co-directed by Johnna Wright (The Merry Wives of Windsor, 2016) and Rohit Chokhani (Artistic Director, Diwali in BC).

Runs until August 11th
