Bard is coming back! After two summers of dark stages due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Festival is returning to the beautiful waterfront site in Sen̓áḵw/Vanier Park.

BlueShore Financial is sponsoring Harlem Duet by Djanet Sears – This Governor-General’s Award-winning drama, inspired by Shakespeare’s Othello, imagines the complicated relationship of a black couple in three key time points in the American Black experience: 1860, before the US Emancipation Proclamation; 1928, during New York’s Harlem Renaissance; and in post-civil rights 1997. Each setting casts a different light on the woman and her deep love for her partner, as well as her sacrifices – and resilience – in the face of his betrayal.  Directed by actor-director Cherissa Richards (Stratford and Shaw Festivals). Onstage from June 15 to July 17.
