Contactless payment or tap is a quick and convenient way to make purchases, with Interac Flash® now a feature on all modern debit cards. But as payment technologies evolve, there may be occasional irregularities.
Starting in 2023, BlueShore has been updating and modernizing Access Cards for all clients. These new cards utilize the latest in chip technology, aimed at helping to keep your card and your account safe from fraud, criminals and other unauthorized uses.
Given the change in technology, however, it is not unusual to encounter card acceptance irregularities.
If you encounter an issue when tapping to make debit card purchases, the technology differences may be the cause – your best choice of action is to insert the card and use your PIN to complete the transaction.
